The work, explained

One symptom. Several possible causes.

A lighting problem can begin at the lamp, fixture, control or circuit. The useful first step is understanding what is actually happening.

Flickering & intermittent light

We investigate the pattern and assess the affected fixture and circuit. An isolated flicker can have a different cause than several rooms changing at once.

Fixtures that will not light

A failed lamp, driver, socket, switch or connection can interrupt operation. We diagnose before discussing repair or replacement.

Dimming problems

Poor dimming, buzzing or lights that do not switch fully off may involve compatibility between the control and lighting equipment.

Repair or replace

The fixture's condition and availability of suitable components help determine whether repair is practical or replacement makes more sense.

Worth talking through

The pattern tells a story.

You do not need to take anything apart. A few observations can help us understand the issue before the visit.

Tell us about your home

One light or several?

Let us know whether the issue affects one fixture, a room or multiple areas. Mention any other electrical symptoms occurring at the same time.

When does it happen?

Note whether the issue occurs while dimming, after a light warms up or when other equipment operates.

Has anything changed?

A new bulb, fixture, dimmer or recent remodel can provide useful context for the diagnosis.

Before you book

A little clarity
goes a long way.

Have a question about your project?
Talk with AAA.

Does a flickering light always mean bad wiring?

No. Lamps, drivers and dimmer compatibility can also cause flickering. Persistent flickering, especially across several areas, should be assessed to understand the cause.

Can an integrated LED fixture be repaired?

It depends on the product and whether serviceable components are available. Some fixtures allow a driver or module replacement; others are better replaced as a complete unit.

Should I keep using a buzzing fixture?

An unfamiliar noise deserves attention. Stop using a fixture if it is overheating, smells burnt or shows damage, and arrange professional assessment. For smoke or immediate danger, leave the area and contact emergency services.

Can you replace the fixture during a repair visit?

Replacement may be an option depending on the diagnosis, fixture availability and installation requirements. We will discuss the scope before proceeding.
